Busy days...

We have had some very busy days over the last couple of weeks with many more firsts and new experiences for our little man. Adventures including a trip to Ikea, walks along the river and at Fish Creek, visiting daddy's work, giggles at Auntie Shari's, lots of stories and tummy times at home with mom. Oh and the occasional Starbuck's treat (for mommy).

Rory enjoying his new perspective of the world around him.

A big thanks to Uncle Brent who introduced Rory to the 'exersaucer'. Although Rory enjoyed it, he was a little small to get the full fun experience, but makes for a cute photo.

Rory has enjoyed a few dinners with mom and dad on the couch, waiting ever so patiently for his dinner.

Rory still loves his bath time and the strong neck muscles are making getting 'sudsy' all the more fun!

Tummy time with daddy.

Happy Father's Day

Lindsay celebrated his first Father's Day with lots of Rory and Daddy time.

The day began with some early morning World Cup Soccer and U.S. Open Golf. Rory loves watching all sorts of sports on tv with daddy. They are quite the pair when sports are on tv, very quiet and content.

After a lovely afternoon stroll and a Starbucks treat, daddy bbq'd some delicious burgers and chicken wings. All three of us enjoyed the end of the day with a quiet evening on our balcony.
Happy 1st Father's Day Daddy!! Lots of love, Rory xxx
A day wouldn't be complete without a little chatter on the change pad between daddy and Rory.
(Pause the music at the bottom of the blog to hear what Rory has to say to daddy)

The 'Bumbo'

How grown up does our little man look sitting up in his first chair - the 'Bumbo'?

Smiles!

It has been all about smiles and giggles lately. Rory loves sharing his smiles with mum and dad - no matter what time of the day, night or early morning.

Who could resist smiling back at this cheeky monkey grin??

A big thanks goes to Rory's friends in England for this wonderful sleeper. Lindsay and I both remember thinking this would never fit him, that it was way too big - and now it's one of Rory's favourites!

Rory's first trip to the mountains

Rory's first view of the majestic Rocky Mountains.

On Saturday we travelled to Kananaskis to meet up with the Snider crew at Interlakes Campground. The Snider's had been camping for a couple of days and we decided to catch up with them for the day. It was a beautiful sunny and warm day. The blue sky seemed to go on forever above the snow topped mountains.

The 'Rorster' had his first walk in the 'Snugli' along the shore of Lower Kananaskis Lake.

Rory and mum in the mountains.

Maelle joined us for a stroll with her tricycle.

Little Rory seemed to be exhausted from his new view of the world around him. He fell asleep on our walk - despite the running commentary from his cousin Maelle.

After our stroll we joined in some fun with Aidan and Maelle and some serious bubble blowing!

Bubble blowing requires one hundred percent concentration.

Fun was had by all!

Lindsay was the star, blowing the biggest bubbles and had Aidan and Maelle chasing them around the campsite for at least an hour!
A big thanks to the Snider's for allowing us to bombard their camping trip for the day.

We all had an awesome time. We are looking forward to planning our own family camping trip a little later in the summer.

Rainy days...

What a way to spend a rainy day...

A just out of the oven, freshly baked cinnamon bun, a cup of tea, a roaring fire,

and a sleeping Rory.

Ahhh...momentary calmness and nothing but the sound of rain pelting our roof.
